You’ll see me take the figure (from Sketching the Fashion Figure):

and use this “paper doll” or croquis as a base to trace garment designs and shapes onto….so that you can focus on the garment design when you don’t feel like freehand drawing a fresh body every time.

(And there’s nothing wrong with doing that, either!!!) It’s just one technique that you can use. Having a variety of techniques in your pocket can spark your creativity and you just might find that a particular technique, like this one, “feels like home” for you. So I hope you’ll try all of them as they come onto the blog and see what you think.
I designed four garments here that all work around a single theme.
I’ll select fabrics and colors for this group soon  and render them in the blog.
